She was born Sept. 21, 1941, in Freedom, Indiana, to the late Grace and Woodrow Leohr.Survivors include her husband, Richard Martin; daughters Debra Mitchell of Terre Haute, Indiana, Lynnetta Thompson of Brighton, Illinois, and Phyllis Mitchel of Madisonville; and three grandchildren.The service is 1 p.m. Thursday in the chapel of Harris Funeral Home in Madisonville with Brother Darrell Gates officiating. Burial is at a later date. Visitation is from 11 a.m. until the funeral hour Thursday at the funeral home.Condolences may be made to the family at www.harrisfuneralinc.com.

William Franklin 'TeTo' Nickles III - Index-Journal

He was born in Abbeville to the late William Franklin Nickles, Jr. and Nell Flynn Nickles.Mr. Nickles was a 1956 graduate of Abbeville High School and a 1963 graduate of the University of South Carolina with a BS degree in Business, where he was a member of the Phi Kappa Alpha Fraternity. In 1956, he and his friend, Mr. Frank Phillips of Abbeville, joined the SC Army National Guard. He was a very successful self-employed businessman and entrepreneur, having started a Warehouse Business and a Garment Manufacturing Company. Mr. Nickles was of the Methodist faith. In his retirement years, he returned to Abbeville to spend time with his children and grandchildren.Mr. Nickles is survived by his three sons, William F. Nickles, IV, Thomas W. Nickles and his wife, MaryAnn and Patrick K. Nickles, all of Abbeville; four grandchildren, Cameron, Thomas, Ashlann and Madde; two very special ladies, his former wives, Jeane Cartledge Nickles Campbell and Patti Knox Nickles both of Abbeville; several cousins and a wide circle of friends.The family will receive friends Thursday, July 27, 2017 from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. at Harris Funeral Home. Graveside services will begin at 11:30 a.m. on Thursday in Long Cane Cemetery, with Rev. Jason Wilson officiating.The family is at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Nickles in Abbeville.Memorial contributions, in memory of Mr. Nickles, may be sent to HospiceCare of the Piedmont, 408 W. Brown, in heaven Sunday, July 23, 2017. Meg was a member of First Presbyterian Church. Meg and her beloved mare, Cheyenne's Melody, were the 1994 RMHA Conformation International Grand Champions.Meg lived a busy, full life always supporting her grandchildren in their activities, spending time with her sister, laughing with her children and caring for her beloved animals.Meg was married to her beloved husband, Chris K. Wells, for 31 years. They enjoyed watching old movies and cooking. She loved the many memories they made, especially at the Crosby, Stills and Nash concert.She is survived by her sister, Carla Brown, they loved going to NASCAR together. She also is survived by her children, Bill Metheny and Robin Metheny Phelps (Chris and family) and her precious grandchildren, Sophie, Boyd, Jackson and Maggie. She is loved by so many and her friends will miss their sweet Meg so much. She is also survived by her special daughter, Jaime Lynn.Services are 6 p.m. Wednesday, July 26, in the chapel of Harris Funeral Home in Madisonville with Brother Lon Lorton officiating.
